Mead & Hunt is currently looking for a highly motivated individual to join our Transportation team as an Entry-Level Roadway Engineer.
Responsibilities include:
Develop horizontal and vertical geometry and typical sections Roadway Design Modeling using Bentley Open Roads Designer Prepare plans, hearing maps, cost estimates and specifications Identify and apply or use the standards, guidelines and principals in the AASHTO Green Book, Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices, Highway Safety Manual, and other local and national standards Assist in the analysis, preparation, or modification of reports, calculations, studies, permits, and designs for projects Attend client meetings and assist in client contact and communications Field observations of roadway conditions and data collection A valid driver's license and some travel will be required. The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree (or higher) in civil engineering from an accredited college or university. The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following: Transportation design coursework/ internship Modeling software (ORD) EIT or ability to obtain within 6 months Experience using MS-Word, Excel, Project Why Mead & Hunt?
