The position requires 5+ years of experience. This position is responsible for assisting & leading project teams, developing engineering solutions, and delivering a thorough and comprehensive end product.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
Assigned specific, high-responsibility-level tasks on project teams Resolve engineering problems and tasks as they are assigned, with help as needed from more experienced staff Perform transportation engineering analyses and calculations Prepare and write engineering and other reports Work as part of a team to complete general transportation engineering services for municipal, county, and state agencies Assist in the preparation of reports and feasibility studies Develop engineering plans, specifications, and estimates (PS&E)
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Licensed Professional Engineer (preferred) Ability to lead, manage and schedule staff to meet project needs Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Experience working with the Utah Department of Transportation and local municipalities (preferred) Use of Microsoft Office Products (e. g. Word, Excel, Outlook) Proficient in the use of MicroStation with OpenRoadsDesigner/Geopak or AutoCAD with Civil 3D Must possess a valid driver's license Must complete a background check

Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
SALARY RANGE
Horner & Shifrin, Inc. offers a comprehensive total rewards package and is committed to fair, competitive, market-based compensation. The target salary range for this position is $85,000 - $115,000.
