Job Description
Abbott Laboratories is seeking a Lab Technician and Validation Specialist to support diagnostic and pharmaceutical product development. In this role, you will perform routine and complex laboratory testing, execute validation protocols for instruments and methods, maintain and calibrate equipment, and ensure data integrity under GMP/GLP and ISO guidelines. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, support audits and regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement in lab workflows. Responsibilities Perform laboratory tests and assays to support product development and validation activities Execute validation protocols for instruments, methods, and processes in compliance with GMP/GLP standards Document experiments, test results, and validation reports with high accuracy and traceability Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot lab equipment to ensure reliable performance Assist in method development, optimization, and transfer for diagnostic and pharmaceutical products Collaborate with scientists, engineers, and QA to investigate deviations and implement corrective actions Support regulatory and audit readiness through proper documentation and adherence to SOPs Manage samples, reagents, and inventory to ensure efficient lab operations Contribute to continuous improvement of lab workflows, validation practices, and data quality Follow all safety guidelines, biosafety procedures, and quality policies in daily lab work Required Skills Laboratory techniques (wet chemistry, assays) Equipment validation Method validation GMP/GLP compliance
