Where You Will Work Located approximately 50 miles northeast of Safford, Arizona on U.S. Highway 191, Morenci operations (an open-pit copper mining complex) has been in continuous operation since 1939. The operation consists of two concentrators, crushed-ore leach pad and stacking system, a low-grade run-of-mine (ROM) leaching system; four SX plants; and three EW tank houses that produce copper cathode. What You Will Do Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures and assist in the identification and implementation of corrective actions or technologies. Consider cost impact for recommended action plans for correcting downtime issues on installed equipment. Ensure continuous production is uninterrupted by equipment failures. Reports on Key Performance Indices. Analyze current CMMS data for equipment health indicators and prepare reports. Perform onsite evaluation of existing processes and equipment and make recommendations for improvement. Perform other duties as required. What You Bring To Freeport Bachelor's degree in an appropriate Engineering discipline with no experience required. Working knowledge of MSOffice suite including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Project. Knowledge and understanding of good engineering practices and principles. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Self-starter with solid integrity. Understand the importance of safety, legality and quality. Preferred Qualifications

• Reliability Engineering experience through internships, co-ops, academic projects, or industry experience.
• Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance principles.
• Experience analyzing equipment failures and using data to support reliability improvements.
• Familiarity with CMMS systems such as SAP.
• Experience with vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis, or other condition monitoring technologies is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Mining, mineral processing, heavy industrial, or manufacturing experience preferred.

What We Offer You The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently $75,000-$104,000 . This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors.
