Job Description

Position OverviewThe Quality Engineer supports the development, manufacture, inspection, and delivery of high reliability products for commercial and government customers. Reporting to the Quality Manager, this role partners closely with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to ensure quality systems, processes, and controls are effectively implemented and continuously improved. The position plays a key role in maintaining compliance with industry regulations and quality standards while supporting product integrity and customer satisfaction.

Key ResponsibilitiesProvide quality engineering support across all phases of product development and production.

Partner with manufacturing and development teams on process mapping, controls, standard operating procedures, inspections, testing methods, and corrective actions.

Develop and implement inspection and testing strategies, including tooling, fixtures, gauges, and equipment, for incoming, in process, and final inspections.

Maintain and control quality system documentation and records.

Support supplier quality activities, including inspections, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.

Plan, support, and participate in internal and external quality audits to ensure compliance with established quality management systems such as ISO 9001 and AS9100.Perform First Article Inspections per AS9102 and final product inspections as required.

Lead and support corrective and preventive action programs, including customer complaints, returns, and nonconformances.

Oversee calibration programs, internal audit schedules, and management review activities.

Conduct risk assessments and contribute to FMEA, control plan development, and process validation activities.

Review and approve quality system procedures and work instructions.

Manage nonconforming material processes and support engineering change activities.

Support product testing efforts and broader quality program initiatives focused on continuous improvement.

QualificationsBachelor degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.

Minimum of five years of quality assurance or quality engineering experience in a regulated manufacturing environment. Aerospace industry experience preferred.

Strong knowledge of quality system regulations and requirements.

Experience with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and CAPA.Working knowledge of statistical analysis techniques including SPC, DOE, probability, sampling, and analysis tools.

Proficiency with GD and T.Strong analytical, documentation, and problem solving skills.

Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate cross functionally.
