Job Description
Company Overview:
Located in Chico California, founded in 1997, MTECH ( www.mtechincorporated.com ) designs and manufactures products for firefighting, and other industrial markets.Position Description:
A Quality Process Engineer designs and improves manufacturing workflows to reduce defects. They design/develop test systems, analyze data, and ensure that all products meet safety and industry standards. This role bridges the gap between Engineering, Operations and Customer expectations. The ideal candidate will feel comfortable interfacing with both the Engineering and Manufacturing departments. Major areas of responsibility include (but are not limited to):Continuous Improvement:
Analyze and drive improvement of existing products/processes based on feedback from customers and production teams.Defect Analysis:
Find the root cause of product failures and prevent them from happening again.Quality Control:
Build testing steps into the manufacturing process. Document testing WI/SOPs.Documentation:
Design processes and systems to record results, maintaining clear and accurate records for future references.Job Requirements:
- Experience with Process design and development for manufacturing.
- Experience with Quality Systems, Testing, Documentation.
- Working knowledge of basic machine design elements, including (but not limited to) fasteners, pipe and pipe fittings, 12v vehicle electronics, and water pumps
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- ERP system knowledge
Education and Experience:
- BS in an Engineering, Industrial Design, or a or related technical field ~ 5 years of experience
- Proven experience in process development in a volume manufacturing environment.
- Full project lifecycle experience (engineering, procurement, manufacturing, testing, warranty)
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office/365 tools
