Job Description

Akkodis is seeking an Electrical Reliability Engineer who thrives in highly technical settings and is passionate about improving product durability, safety, and performance from initial design through field deployment for a long term contract opportunity. In this role, you will partner with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and test organizations to identify reliability risks, validate system performance, investigate failures, and drive continuous product improvements. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with hands-on engineering experience and a proven ability to influence cross-functional teams.
Pay Rate:
$61.00-80.00/HR + Benefits Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement reliability strategies that support product development, production, testing, and operational deployment.
  • Perform reliability assessments and predictive analyses to identify potential failure mechanisms and improve overall system performance.
  • Lead Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA/FMECA) activities and support fault isolation, root cause investigations, and corrective actions.
  • Define qualification and reliability test requirements, oversee test execution, and evaluate results to ensure products meet performance expectations.
  • Analyze field, production, and test data to identify trends, validate reliability objectives, and guide design enhancements.
  • Partner with design, manufacturing, quality, and test teams to improve product robustness and reduce risk.
  • Support formal engineering reviews, including design and manufacturing readiness evaluations, and present findings to technical and executive stakeholders.
  • Drive preventative measures that address recurring failures and improve long-term system reliability.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline. Minimum of 5 years of experience in Reliability Engineering, Product Development Engineering, Test Engineering, or a closely related field. Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance, as required. Experience working with safety-critical systems within the aerospace or defense industry. Demonstrated success establishing or supporting reliability programs that include production testing, field testing, data collection, and performance analysis. Strong knowledge of reliability methodologies, including:
FMEA/FMECA
Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) Weibull Analysis Reliability prediction and modeling techniques Experience creating qualification test plans and executing verification activities to characterize product behavior and performance. Proven background conducting failure investigations and implementing corrective actions that prevent repeat issues. Experience participating in major engineering reviews such as Preliminary Design Reviews (PDR), Critical Design Reviews (CDR), and Manufacturing Readiness Reviews (MRR). Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively engage stakeholders at all organizational levels. Familiarity with the following military standards and guidance documents:
