As a Sustaining Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering Support Department supporting the Fleet Reliability and Maintenance Teams. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

$76-82$/hour + Bnefits What's the Job? Support the Level 3 Toyota Highlander test fleet by diagnosing and resolving vehicle and hardware issues across OEM systems and Zoox integrated autonomous vehicle hardware. Drive end-to-end resolution of field and manufacturing issues, including root cause analysis, solution development, validation, and deployment into the service fleet. Lead design updates and improvements to enhance reliability, durability, and fleet availability of electrical and mechanical systems. Manage Engineering Change Requests and execute validation and testing plans to verify long-term effectiveness of implemented solutions. Collaborate with suppliers, manufacturing, and service teams to deliver durable, manufacturable, and serviceable solutions aligned with design standards. What's Needed? BS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline; MS preferred. 5+ years of experience in electrical and mechanical systems engineering within product development, manufacturing, or sustaining environments. Proven ability to improve subsystem reliability using root cause analysis, DFMEA, and validation testing. Hands-on experience with tools such as Python, SQL, Vector CANalyzer, or Databricks for data analysis and troubleshooting. Strong communication skills, proficiency with 3D CAD tools like CATIA, and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment. What's in it for me?
