Full-Time Position Summary As a key member of the Product Team, the Quality Engineer will serve as the quality focal point for one or more product lines and various quality functions. The successful candidate will have strong experience interpreting customer drawings, specifications, and internal quality requirements while ensuring compliance with applicable quality systems and standards. Essential Functions Coordinate with Manufacturing Engineering to process customer-returned materials and nonconforming parts. Initiate root cause investigations and develop 8D corrective action plans as needed. Lead problem-solving efforts for internal rejections and customer returns. Establish and conduct quality-related training. Develop quality plans with the Product Group Manager during the proposal phase. Participate as a member of the Change Review Board to ensure changes to primary documents are acceptable and compliant. Review manufacturing planning to ensure incorporation of inspection points, ATP test points, and special gauging requirements. Verify compliance with customer drawings and specifications. Develop inspection plans for receiving, in-process, assembly, final, and test inspections. Serve as the focal point for customer audits and support AS9100 and FAA audits. Perform trend analysis on product issues and corrective actions. Prepare and present quarterly management review reports to the Product Group Manager. Conduct internal Quality System audits, issue Corrective Action Requests (CARs), and implement improvement action plans. Review supplier purchase orders, ratings, and performance; issue supplier corrective actions as needed. Serve as the Quality Department representative on the Material Review Board (MRB). Evaluate customer claims and issue RMAs following completion of the evaluation process. Interface with customers through online and in-person meetings, customer portals, and other forms of communication. Address and resolve customer-issued corrective actions related to assigned product lines. Perform other duties as assigned. Role Qualifications Prior Quality Engineer experience is required. Experience with mechanical and/or electrical inspection techniques. Thorough understanding of quality management systems, including AS9100D and
ISO 9001
2015 . Experience with quality and problem-solving methodologies, including: 5 Whys FMEA Control Plans 8D Corrective Action Fishbone Analysis Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong understanding of quality concepts, systems, and continuous improvement practices. Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with customers, suppliers, engineering, manufacturing, and internal quality teams. Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technical, or a related discipline. Minimum of 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control . Previous experience in a Quality Engineer role is required. Aerospace or highly regulated manufacturing experience is strongly preferred.
