Job Description
We are looking for a talented Site Quality Engineer to join our team specializing in quality for our Cummins' business in Hartford, CT. In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: Lead effective containment and corrective action processes to quickly resolve customer issues and prevent recurrence Ensure products and processes meet quality standards (IATF, APQP, PPAP) to maintain compliance and customer satisfaction Support change management and VPI initiatives by validating product and process performance and enabling data-driven decisions Serve as a quality subject matter expert , providing guidance and support to cross-functional teams Drive continuous improvement using Lean, problem-solving methodologies, and quality tools to enhance performance and reduce defects Support and conduct quality audits to ensure adherence to internal and external standards Contribute to safe and successful product launches by supporting Safe Launch and verification activities Apply AIAG core tools to strengthen quality planning, risk mitigation, and overall process reliability To be successful in this role you will need the following: Prioritize customer focus and quality outcomes by building strong relationships and ensuring products and processes consistently meet customer and regulatory expectations Leverage quality tools and methodologies (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC) along with statistical analysis to drive effective problem solving, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement Apply manufacturing and measurement expertise to validate processes, reduce variation, and ensure reliable, high-quality production outputs Influence outcomes through strong communication and project management by engaging stakeholders, aligning priorities, and driving balanced, data-informed decisions while embracing diverse perspectives
