Job Description

Position Description:
We are seeking a skilled and ambitious Mechanical Reliability Engineer to join our team. Their role will have a focus on providing production support through mechanical fixes and design, critical vendor quality management, asset reliability planning, and executing mechanical engineering improvement projects. Their role will be focused on owning and advancing the mechanical reliability of our operations by identifying challenges, developing practical solutions, and ensuring improvements are successfully implemented and sustained. Areas of focus will include mechanical system enhancements, immediate mechanical break-fixes, critical vendor quality management, asset reliability planning, and general support of production operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and a problem-solving mindset, ensuring the manufacturing processes run smoothly and efficiently. As the Mechanical Reliability Engineer, the primary objective will be to implement innovative and practical solutions that solve manufacturing inefficiencies. Building an effective and collaborative relationship with the operators, floor supervisors, and process engineers of the manufacturing processes will be critical to success in this role. Functional/Technical Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Proficiency with machine shop tools for break/fix resolution. Experience in supporting mechanical break/fix requests and developing asset reliability plans. Proficiency in CAD software and 3D printing and experience in mechanical parts design. Proven project management skills with the ability to lead projects from conception to completion. Knowledge of incoming supplier/vendor quality management processes. Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies. Strong understanding of ISO or other quality management standards.
