Job Description

Incoming Quality Engineer positions offered by HL Mando America Corporation (Hogansville, Georgia). Verify part quality through incoming inspection. Detect part defects and work with suppliers for improvement. Operate all systems required for inspection and analysis. Provide support for facilities, equipment, and environments required for incoming inspection. Review and approve inspection agreements with suppliers. Utilize all types of inspection equipment for quality analysis activities. Continuously improve and assist with the efficiency of quality inspection. Perform full dimensional inspections on new parts and all PPAP samples. Conduct regular training for inspectors. Manage all incoming inspection documentation and calibration schedules for gauges and measuring instruments.

Requires a bachelors or foreign equivalent degree in engineering or a related field and 2 years of experience performing 3D CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) programming. Must have 2 years of experience in each of the following: quality management through GD&T application and interpretation of engineering drawings; performing incoming inspection of parts using measurement equipment, issuing NCRs, and conducting follow-up activities to verify corrective actions; using Metrology Lab gauges for performing incoming inspection and execution of calibration; processing capability analysis and quality improvement using the quality analysis tool Minitab; working with AIAG automotive quality systems, including one of the following AIAG quality core tools: PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, or APQP; and, application of automotive quality processes, 4M change management, and metrology lab management techniques. Experience may be acquired prior to completion of degree. Experience may be, but need not be, acquired concurrently.
