$60,000-$70,000 annually + profit sharing About the Position We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Specialist/ Engineer to join a growing manufacturing company that designs and builds custom thermoforming machinery for the plastics industry . This position is ideal for someone with a strong quality/manufacturing background who is comfortable working hands-on with industrial machinery, reading blueprints, using measuring equipment, identifying defects, and working with Engineering and Production teams to resolve quality issues. Responsibilities Inspect and evaluate machinery and components throughout the build process. Ensure machinery meets company, safety, and regulatory standards. Create inspection logs and defect reports. Maintain and update manufacturing checklists. Create and inspect corrective action lists. Review machinery before and after painting and installation. Report quality findings and work with Engineering and Production to correct issues. Assist Engineering with research and development projects. Maintain machine manuals and related documentation. Maintain CE regulatory documentation. Coordinate third-party inspections for CSA, UL, and international certifications. Maintain part number documentation and mapping through the ERP system. Learn to operate machinery and provide customer training and service support. Participate in quality, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives. Travel approximately 10% to customer facilities for process training. Qualifications 3+ years of Quality Control, Quality Assurance, or similar manufacturing experience. Strong technical background, preferably with industrial machinery or equipment . Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings . Experience using measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, or similar tools. Strong problem-solving and attention-to-detail skills. Ability to communicate effectively with Engineering, Production, Service, and other departments. Comfortable working independently as well as part of a team. Willingness to be hands-on with machinery and equipment. Thermoforming and OEM inspection experience is a plus.
