Required Education

Degree:
BS in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Agricultural Engineering
Second preference (if available): Metallurgical Engineering or Advanced Physics
Years of experience: 0-2 years (internships count toward experience)Required Technical Skill
Proficiency in Creo or related CAD softwareServe as an individual contributor on projects and assignments that support and enhance Caterpillar product performance, durability, reliability, quality, and serviceability.

Operate and maintain multiple seal validation test benches
Author and update safe job & lock out tag out (LOTO) procedures for seal test equipment
Manage internal/external validation test requests and support quality/material/design improvement projects
Perform/apply root cause analysis on field returns
Support NPI (New Product Introduction) and CPI (Current Product Improvement) projects
Collaborate with system engineering teams (internal and external) to identify/validate optimum sealing system solutions
Create and deliver technical reports
Research and develop new sealing technologiesRequired Soft Skills1.Strong mechanical and analytical aptitude2.Strong problem solving skills3.Ability to communicate technical information effectively with team members, system engineering teams, and suppliers
