The Quality Engineer plays a key role in maintaining and improving the organization's AS9100 Quality Management System. This position is responsible for leading corrective action efforts, supporting internal audits, and working closely with cross-functional teams to drive quality improvements across manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities :
Lead and manage the corrective action process from initiation through resolution, ensuring timely closure Partner with operations and engineering teams to identify root causes and implement effective corrective and preventive actions Monitor and analyze quality data to identify trends, recurring issues, and opportunities for improvement Participate in internal audit activities, including planning, execution, reporting, and follow-up on findings Support ongoing development and improvement of quality systems, procedures, and documentation Assist in the creation and maintenance of quality tools such as control plans, FMEAs, and work instructions Guide production teams on quality standards, compliance requirements, and best practices Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and process efficiency
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree or technical diploma in Engineering or a related field Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Quality Engineering or Quality Assurance role within a manufacturing environment Experience working within an AS9100 quality system required Auditor training or certifications are preferred Familiarity with special processes such as coating, heat treatment, or welding is preferred Strong problem-solving skills with experience in root cause analysis methodologies Excellent communication, organization, and analytical skills Bilingual in Spanish is a plus Must be a U.S. Person citizen or hold an active US Green Card #INC1
