•$100,000 + Benefits Our client, an established industrial manufacturer, is seeking an experienced Quality Systems Lead to take ownership of quality activities at its Indianapolis manufacturing facility. This is a senior, hands-on position suited to a quality professional with extensive experience in machining and assembly environments who can independently lead plant-level quality initiatives, maintain Quality Management System standards, drive continuous improvement, support customer quality requirements, and work closely with manufacturing and operations teams. The successful candidate will serve as a key quality resource for the facility and will be responsible for identifying quality gaps, improving manufacturing processes, leading audits, resolving quality concerns, and promoting a strong quality culture throughout the operation. The Role Lead quality engineering and quality improvement activities for the Indianapolis manufacturing facility. Maintain and support the facility's Quality Management System and ensure compliance with

ISO 9001

requirements. Lead internal and external quality audits, document findings, and ensure corrective actions are completed. Work closely with manufacturing, operations, engineering, sales, and other teams to resolve quality and customer-related concerns. Analyze manufacturing and quality data to identify trends, gaps, and improvement opportunities. Develop and monitor quality metrics and provide regular reporting to management. Lead structured root-cause investigations and corrective actions using tools such as 8D, 5-Why, Fishbone, Pareto Analysis, PFMEA and Control Plans . Review and improve manufacturing processes, procedures, work instructions, and quality documentation. Support process mapping and continuous improvement initiatives throughout the facility. Interpret engineering drawings and specifications, including GD&T . Support product and process quality during the introduction of new products into manufacturing. Perform or support part and finished-goods inspections when required. Promote quality awareness and provide training and guidance to employees on quality processes and standards. Partner with leadership to improve customer satisfaction, product quality and operational performance. Support product safety, regulatory and certification requirements applicable to the business. Participate in occasional travel as required. What You Bring Degree or diploma in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, Electronics Engineering , or a related technical discipline. 15+ years of progressive quality experience within a manufacturing environment. Strong experience within machining and/or assembly manufacturing environments . Demonstrated ability to independently lead quality activities within a manufacturing facility. Strong knowledge and practical experience with

Lead Auditor experience or qualification. Strong experience conducting manufacturing process audits and supporting external audits. Advanced ability to read and interpret 2D/3D engineering drawings and GD&T . Strong knowledge of manufacturing process controls and quality inspection practices. Hands-on experience with quality and problem-solving methodologies including 8D, 5-Why, Fishbone, Pareto, PFMEA, Process Flow Diagrams and Control Plans . Strong root-cause analysis and corrective-action experience. Experience handling customer quality concerns and communicating technical quality issues with internal and external stakeholders.
