$65,000-$85,000 annually, depending on experience Job Summary MS Companies is supporting a manufacturing client in Shelbyville, KY, in the search for a Customer Quality Engineer. This role will manage customer quality concerns from the initial response through containment, root cause analysis, corrective action, and final closure. The ideal candidate will have strong automotive quality experience and the ability to communicate effectively with customers and internal teams. Required Qualifications 3-5 years of Customer Quality or Quality Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment Automotive supplier or OEM experience Knowledge of AIAG Core Tools, including APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, and SPC Experience with 8D, 5-Why, root cause analysis, containment, and corrective actions Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, quality data, and manufacturing processes Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Ability to provide customer-site support as needed Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in related technical field; at least four years of relevant experience may be considered in place of a degree Knowledge of
IATF 16949, ISO
standards, and customer-specific requirements Experience managing customer portals, quality databases, and audit requests Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills Key Responsibilities Serve as the primary contact for customer quality concerns, complaints, and requests Coordinate customer audits, visits, sorting, containment, and follow-up activities Review drawings, specifications, and production data to determine inspection and testing requirements Lead cross-functional root cause investigations and corrective actions Complete 8D reports and maintain customer portals, quality records, and tracking systems Ensure compliance with customer, IATF, ISO, and internal quality requirements Complete one approved quality or process improvement initiative each quarter Work Environment This position works in manufacturing environments. It requires periods of sitting, standing, and walking through production areas, as well as wearing required PPE. Customer-site visits may be required when addressing quality concerns.
