They will collaborate closely with mechanical, electrical, software, and manufacturing teams to uphold quality standards throughout the product lifecycle. Responsibilities will focus on testing, validation, root cause analysis, and supporting systems deployed at customer sites. This role will be onsite at the Bedford, MA office. This position will run from approximately July to December 2026 (dates flexible). Functions Support validation and verification activities for new and existing hardware systems. Develop and execute test plans, procedures, and protocols for electromechanical assemblies and subsystems. Analyze test data to identify trends, failures, and areas for improvement. Assist in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation for hardware issues. Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure designs meet quality and reliability requirements. Drive continuous improvement initiatives in product quality, testing methods, and inspection processes. Support incoming inspection, in-process quality checks, and final system validation. Develop and maintain quality documentation including test reports, inspection criteria, and standard operating procedures. Work with suppliers and contract manufacturers to ensure components meet specifications and quality standards. Assist with field issue investigations and support deployed systems as needed. Qualifications Actively pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or related field Interest or experience in quality engineering, testing, or reliability of hardware systems Familiarity with measurement tools and test equipment (calipers, multimeters, data acquisition systems, etc.) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Good written and verbal communication skills Must be detail-oriented, curious, and proactive Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and test results Basic understanding of electromechanical systems and failure modes Experience with data analysis tools (Excel, Python, or similar) is a plus Familiarity with quality methodologies (e.g., root cause analysis, FMEA, SPC) is a plus COOP-2605
