Job Description
Description Job ResponsibilitiesLeads high-performing quality team. Monitors workload to assess staffing needs. Participates in hiring, assessing, and disciplining employees.
Directs workers engaged in measuring and testing product and tabulating data concerning materials, product, process quality and reliability.
Interprets engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas and confers with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability requirements.
Analyzes, evaluates and presents information such as production capabilities, manufacturing problems and design & development of new products for consideration by other members of the MEC team.
Confers with engineers about quality verification technique or new products design and manufactured products in the market to rectify problems.
Develops and implements methods and procedures for disposition of discrepant material and devises methods to assess cost and responsibility.
Reviews technical problems and procedures of assigned departments and recommends solutions to problems or changes in procedures.
Recommends modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of current technology.
Follows and ensures team follows all safety procedures and regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. Identifies and reports potential safety hazards.
Participates in other projects as assigned.

Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
Proficiency with diagnostic equipment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Educational RequirementsAssociate's degree in relevant field or equivalent education and experience.
Experience RequirementsThree years experience in quality, engineering, or related field.
