Job Description

Our client, a global automotive manufacturer in the Holland, MI area, is looking for an Automotive Quality Engineer to join their growing team. This is a hands-on quality engineering opportunity for someone who enjoys solving manufacturing problems, improving processes, and working directly with customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams. In this role, you'll have a direct impact on product quality and manufacturing performance. You'll support production operations, new program launches, customer quality requirements, and supplier quality initiatives while helping strengthen quality systems and drive continuous improvement. Responsibilities Ensure high-quality automotive components are consistently delivered to customers. Support quality initiatives across suppliers, customers, manufacturing operations, and new program launches. Maintain compliance with
IATF 16949
requirements and support internal quality audits. Prepare, review, and manage PPAP submissions and documentation . Develop, implement, and maintain quality systems, procedures, and quality plans. Lead and support corrective action and root cause analysis activities. Apply structured problem-solving methods to resolve manufacturing and product quality concerns. Analyze quality data, documentation, and trends to identify opportunities for improvement. Communicate directly with automotive customers regarding quality concerns, requirements, and corrective actions. Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and other departments on continuous improvement initiatives . Support established quality and job performance standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Qualifications 2+ years of automotive manufacturing quality experience . Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field. Experience with automotive quality systems, standards, and documentation. Knowledge of IATF 16949, PPAP, corrective actions, and root cause analysis . Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with customers and cross-functional teams. Self-motivated and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Ability to work overtime as needed. Preferred Experience Experience working with vision inspection systems or automated vision systems . Familiarity with automotive core quality tools and methodologies. Experience supporting new product or program launches. Customer-facing automotive quality experience. Continuous improvement and manufacturing process improvement experience.
