Quality Engineer LuxWall is developing, scaling, and commercializing innovative glass products and solutions for the built environment. Its transparent insulation technology, Enthermal®, delivers a step change in energy performance by significantly reducing convective, conductive, and radiative heat transfer. LuxWall is building the manufacturing capability required to bring this technology to market safely, reliably, and at scale. Position Summary The Quality Engineer is responsible for improving manufacturing quality, process capability, and yield at LuxWall Factory 1 through data-driven process control, structured problem solving, and continuous improvement. This hands-on role works at the point of manufacture to identify and prioritize the largest sources of defects, scrap, rework, and process variation; establish effective process controls and reaction plans; and lead root-cause and corrective-action efforts that prevent recurrence. Working cross-functionally with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Quality, the Quality Engineer strengthens incoming, in-process, and outgoing quality, drives defect prevention and process discipline, and ensures improvements are measurable, sustained, and scalable to future LuxWall manufacturing operations Position Responsibilities Drive manufacturing quality, process capability, yield, and defect-prevention improvements by identifying and prioritizing the largest sources of scrap, rework, defects, customer escapes, and process variation. Establish and maintain quality controls across incoming materials, in-process manufacturing, and finished goods, including CTQs, inspection criteria, sampling plans, acceptance standards, Control Plans, and reaction plans. Lead structured root-cause and corrective-action activities using 8D, A3, 5-Why, Fishbone, and other appropriate methods; verify root causes and demonstrate sustained corrective-action effectiveness. Apply SPC, Pareto analysis, process capability (Cp/Cpk/Pp/Ppk), MSA/Gage R&R, trend analysis, and DOE where appropriate to understand variation, establish process stability, and verify improvement. Develop and maintain PFMEAs and process risk assessments with Engineering and Operations, translating identified risks into effective process controls, inspection methods, and reaction plans. Work directly at the point of manufacture with operators, technicians, and engineers to investigate defects, validate failure mechanisms, strengthen process discipline, and implement practical improvements. Ensure effective inspection, testing, containment, and control of nonconforming material and product, with defects detected and addressed as close to the point of creation as possible. Partner with Supply Chain and suppliers to define incoming quality requirements, monitor supplier performance and material variation, support supplier qualification, and drive supplier corrective actions. Translate customer requirements, complaints, returns, and quality escapes into appropriate containment, corrective actions, risk controls, and verified manufacturing improvements. Establish and support quality and yield performance reviews using FPY/RTY, COPQ, scrap/rework, defect Pareto, process capability, action ownership, and escalation to drive measurable cross-functional improvement. readiness, including document/change control, CAPA, internal audits, training, and standardization of quality practices that can scale from Factory 1 to future LuxWall manufacturing operations. Position Requirements Bachelor's degree in Quality, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, Materials Engineering, or a related technical discipline, with 7+ years of progressive, hands-on manufacturing quality engineering experience. An equivalent combination of technical education and directly relevant manufacturing experience may be considered. Demonstrated track record of improving manufacturing quality and process capability, including measurable improvements in yield, scrap/rework, defect reduction, process variation, and corrective-action effectiveness. Strong working knowledge of structured problem-solving and quality engineering methods, including 8D, DMAIC/A3, 5-Why, Fishbone, Pareto analysis, PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, process capability (Cp/Cpk/Pp/Ppk), and MSA/Gage R&R. Strong analytical capability with the ability to interpret manufacturing and quality data, identify trends and loss drivers, quantify business impact, prioritize improvement opportunities, and communicate findings clearly. Experience with manufacturing quality systems including incoming, in-process, and outgoing quality; nonconforming material; supplier quality; CAPA; customer complaints; document/change control; and process audits. Working knowledge of ISO 9001 or comparable quality management systems. Internal Auditor, Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt, or similar quality certification is preferred;

experience is a plus. Demonstrated ability to work effectively at the point of manufacture, investigate failure mechanisms, validate data and root causes, and lead cross-functional teams through corrective action and verified closure. Experience in automotive, glass, electronics, semiconductor, medical device, advanced materials, or other high-volume, automated, process-intensive manufacturing environments is preferred. Experience transferring mature quality-engineering practices into a developing or scaling manufacturing operation is a strong plus. Proficiency with Excel and manufacturing/quality data systems; experience with MES, ERP, QMS, SPC/statistical software, or manufacturing data-visualization tools is preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence operators, technicians, engineers, suppliers, and plant leadership and communicate quality risks, priorities, and results effectively.
