Job Description

Position Summary We are seeking a motivated Quality Engineer I to support manufacturing operations and ensure products consistently meet customer, engineering, and quality requirements. This position will work closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, and customers to identify quality concerns, determine root causes, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing environment and a working knowledge of quality systems, inspection methods, problem-solving tools, and customer quality requirements. Primary Responsibilities Support daily manufacturing operations by identifying, investigating, and resolving quality concerns. Monitor product and process quality to ensure compliance with customer specifications, drawings, and internal standards. Investigate internal and customer quality issues and assist with containment activities. Perform root cause analysis and develop effective corrective and preventive actions. Prepare and maintain 8D reports, corrective actions, and quality documentation . Support APQP and PPAP activities for new and existing products. Review engineering drawings, specifications, inspection requirements, and customer quality standards. Assist with the development and maintenance of Control Plans, PFMEAs, work instructions, and inspection standards . Analyze scrap, rework, defects, and quality trends to identify opportunities for improvement. Work with Production and Engineering teams to improve manufacturing processes and reduce defects. Support customer complaints, quality concerns, and corrective-action requests. Participate in internal, customer, and supplier quality audits. Assist with supplier quality issues and incoming material concerns as needed. Support new product launches and manufacturing process changes. Utilize quality tools including 5 Why, Fishbone Analysis, SPC, MSA, and statistical problem-solving techniques . Maintain accurate quality records and documentation. Promote continuous improvement and a strong quality culture throughout the organization. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering , or a related field preferred. 1-3 years of Quality Engineering or manufacturing quality experience preferred. Automotive, aerospace, metal fabrication, stamping, welding, machining, or related manufacturing experience is a plus. Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, MSA, and 8D problem solving . Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and GD&T . Familiarity with
IATF 16949, ISO
9001, and/or AS9100 quality systems preferred. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and other standard business software. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work effectively with Production, Engineering, customers, suppliers, and management.
Pay:
$85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
