SUMMARY :

•This position is for a Quality Engineer in a heavy manufacturing environment comprised of Metal Stamping and Welding and Assembly operations. It is important for the successful candidate to have significant (3-5 years) experience in a similar manufacturing environment.

•Plans and directs activities concerned with development, application, and maintenance of quality standards for industrial processes, materials, and products by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Develops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation. Devises sampling procedures and designs and develops forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data. Establishes program to evaluate precision and accuracy of production equipment and testing, measurement, and analytical equipment and facilities. Develops and implements methods and procedures for disposition of discrepant material and devises methods to assess cost and responsibility. Own development and periodic updates/ review of Quality documentation including Process-flows/ PFMEA/ Control Plan for the designated programs Investigate the root cause of customer escapes and non-conformances and determine appropriate corrective/preventive actions. Manage all phases of the CAPA process for specific events, including but not limited to 8D documentation, reviewing control plan/ PFMEA/ process flow and WIs Directs technicians engaged in measuring and testing product and tabulating data concerning materials, product, or process quality and reliability. Posses a working knowledge of

DIS/ PC-DMS

systems. Must be able to interpret dimensional reports and make engineering decisions based on the dimensional data. Compiles and writes training material and conducts training sessions on quality control activities. Act as an interface to solve top quality issues between the organization's plants. Leads continuous improvement teams as required. Travel to support domestic and international customers.

$65,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
