This position is responsible for ensuring customer quality requirements are met, reviewing quality trends, identifying root causes of defects, implementing corrective actions, and supporting safe and consistent manufacturing operations. The Quality Engineer will work closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Design, Purchasing, and other teams to resolve quality issues and ensure products meet established specifications and customer requirements. Responsibilities Ensure customer quality requirements are met for assigned products and programs. Review design, manufacturing, test, and supplier documentation, including design drawings, process procedures, quality manuals, test procedures, and inspection analysis. Develop visual aids and work instructions. Make accept or reject decisions based on established product quality requirements. Review and monitor quality trends associated with assigned products and programs. Assist in identifying root causes of defects and implementing appropriate corrective actions. Recommend or implement corrective actions to address quality problems in partnership with Manufacturing, Engineering, Design, Purchasing, and other teams. Update work instructions, inspection analysis, and process procedures when corrective actions require changes. Ensure product quality standards are achieved within assigned product groups or programs. Write quality plans, procedures, forecasts, manpower plans, and related documentation. Support the resolution of machine and fixture problems and coordinate with other team members and the Engineering Manager when necessary. Ensure jobs are operating safely and product quality specifications are being met. Verify daily job performance standards are being achieved. Verify work orders and preventive maintenance activities are completed accurately and on time. Ensure fixtures are operating safely and properly and preventive maintenance meets quality and production standards. Maintain required documentation and ensure necessary spare parts are available and properly stored. Inspect fixtures, band saws, machines, finishing fixtures, and related equipment and take corrective action when necessary to support employee safety and product quality. Monitor shift performance and take corrective action as necessary to maintain production and quality standards. Ensure assigned areas remain in compliance with the established quality system. Follow and enforce workplace safety guidelines and health and safety requirements. Ensure appropriate action is taken following workplace accidents, incidents, and safety concerns. Complete required accident and incident reports and participate in corrective action activities. Ensure work instructions are followed to produce quality parts according to customer specifications. Ensure applicable local, state, and federal safety and environmental requirements are followed. Contribute to a workplace that promotes fairness, equality, and non-discriminatory practices. Qualifications 3+ years of manufacturing quality experience. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills. Strong attention to detail and numerical skills. Effective communication and teamwork skills. Leadership skills.
