Job Description

Global high-tech manufacturer producing cutting edge products has an excellent career opportunity for a Quality Engineer on a one year contract basis. Great opportunity to join their awesome team and take full advantage of this rare opportunity! Job Summary The Quality Engineer will work on site at its NJ plant for about one year. The QE assists in the implementation and maintenance of all quality system requirements including APQP, Core Tools, customer concerns and customer visits, gauging, process control plans, supplier issues, customer specific requirements. Main Responsibilities Establish and implement process control plans to include capability studies, gage repeatability and reproducibility (Gage R&R) studies. Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data; and making recommendations. Development of inspection and work instructions Performance process capability studies Prepare and submit Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) packages ensuring all elements are met per customer requirements. Participate in Advance Product Quality Planning (APQP). Participates in and performs Layered Process Audits (LPA) per plan. Management of Customer and Internal Complaints, Supplier if needed. Qualifications BS Degree in Engineering Professional experience ~5 years Automotive experience

Knowledge Manufacturing process experience Ability to read and interpret assembly and component drawings and engineering specifications. Knowledge in GD&T Organization skills with the ability to perform multiple tasks and obtain results working within strict time frames.
