Job Description

Description Permanent position for a Quality Engineer supporting manufacturing and inspection operations under an AS9100D quality management system. Investigate and resolve product and process quality issues, including nonconformance reports, customer complaints, returns, and RMAs. Lead corrective and preventive actions using structured root cause analysis, containment, risk assessment, and effectiveness verification. Evaluate nonconforming material and determine appropriate containment and disposition. Perform AS9102 First Article Inspections and maintain the required documentation. Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T to establish product acceptance criteria. Create, validate, and maintain automated dimensional inspection programs on programmable vision and optical measurement systems. Optimize inspection methods, gaging, fixtures, and tooling to reduce inspection time, scrap, and rework. Support incoming, in-process, and final inspection activities along with calibration and inspection equipment control. Analyze quality data and trends to drive continuous improvement, and support internal and external audits and audit responses. Requirements BS Quality, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering (or similar). Minimum 5 years of manufacturing or production experience, including quality engineering in an AS9100D and/or
ISO 9001
environment. Experience with AS9102 First Article Inspection requirements and documentation. Experience developing, validating, and maintaining automated dimensional inspection programs. Experience with CMM, vision, optical, or other programmable dimensional measurement systems. Working knowledge of
ASME Y14.5 GD&T
standards. Experience with nonconformance, root cause analysis, and corrective action methodologies. Knowledge of precision measurement techniques and manufacturing process control. Proficiency with Excel for quality data analysis. Experience revising quality procedures, work instructions, and inspection methods a plus. #ERGx
