Position Summary The Quality Engineer will play a critical role in establishing and improving quality systems across product development, manufacturing, supplier management, and customer support functions. This individual will be responsible for driving root cause investigations, reducing defects, improving process capability, supporting customer quality requirements, and implementing scalable quality management processes appropriate for a rapidly growing organization. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in an environment where processes are evolving, priorities shift frequently, and resources may be limited. Success requires technical expertise, strong communication skills, and the ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority. Essential Responsibilities Quality System Development Develop, implement, and improve quality processes, procedures, and documentation. Support the continued development and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS). Create practical quality controls that support growth without unnecessarily slowing operations. Assist with internal and external audits and corrective action management. Manufacturing Quality Drive containment activities and investigations related to nonconforming materials, assemblies, and finished products. Lead root cause analysis efforts using tools such as 8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagrams, PFMEA, and DMAIC methodologies. Identify and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Analyze manufacturing data to identify trends, systemic issues, and opportunities for improvement. Support production teams in reducing scrap, rework, and yield losses. Supplier Quality Partner with suppliers to address incoming quality issues. Lead supplier corrective action requests (SCARs) and monitor effectiveness. Participate in supplier qualification, performance monitoring, and risk assessments. Drive supplier quality improvements to reduce operational disruptions. Customer Quality Investigate customer complaints and field failures. Coordinate containment, failure analysis, corrective actions, and customer communications. Support customer audits and quality-related meetings. Develop and communicate quality metrics to internal and external stakeholders. New Product Introduction (NPI) Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain teams during product development and launch activities. Participate in design reviews and manufacturing readiness assessments. Develop inspection plans, control plans, and quality criteria for new products in alignment with customer requirements. Support qualification and validation efforts. Continuous Improvement Establish and monitor key quality performance indicators. Facilitate cross-functional improvement projects. Identify process gaps and implement standardized solutions. Foster a culture of accountability, problem-solving, and continuous improvement throughout the organization. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or Applied Science. 2+ years of experience in a Quality Engineering role within manufacturing or technology hardware environments. Experience with root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies. Strong understanding of quality tools including:
CAPA SCAR SPC MSA
Gauge R&R FMEA/Risk Assessment Experience working with suppliers and cross-functional teams. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and often changing environment. Proficient with Microsoft Office and data analysis tools. Preferred Qualifications Experience in data center infrastructure, electrical assemblies, server hardware, rack integration, or related industries. Familiarity with ISO 9001-compliant quality systems. Internal auditor training through a credible organization. ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification. Experience in high-mix, low-volume and scaling manufacturing environments. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
