1-2+ Years Job Summary We are looking for a Metrology Engineer to support measurement, inspection, calibration, and dimensional verification activities within a medical device manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a technical background in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Engineering, or a related field , with knowledge of precision measurement, engineering drawings, GD&T, and inspection methods. This is an excellent opportunity for an entry-level engineer or someone with 1-2 years of hands-on experience in metrology, quality, manufacturing, inspection, or precision measurement. Key Responsibilities Perform dimensional inspection and measurement of components and products. Use precision measurement equipment such as CMMs, calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection tools . Interpret engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and GD&T requirements. Support CMM inspection and measurement activities. Assist with calibration and verification of measurement and inspection equipment. Support Measurement System Analysis (MSA), Gauge R&R, and other measurement-related activities. Review measurement results and prepare inspection/measurement reports. Identify measurement discrepancies and support investigation and resolution. Work closely with Quality, Manufacturing, and Engineering teams. Maintain accurate documentation and records related to measurement and inspection activities. Follow applicable quality procedures and requirements within a regulated manufacturing environment. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field . 0-2 years of experience in metrology, dimensional inspection, quality, manufacturing, or a related engineering environment. Understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T . Basic knowledge of dimensional measurement and precision inspection techniques. Ability to work with measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Good communication and documentation skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) . Exposure to CMM programming/software such as PC-DMIS, Calypso, or similar tools . Experience with calibration or measurement equipment verification. Knowledge of MSA / Gauge R&R . Experience with dimensional inspection or precision manufacturing. Exposure to medical device, aerospace, automotive, or other highly regulated/precision manufacturing environments. Knowledge of ISO 13485, FDA, or other quality-system requirements is a plus.
