You will act as the vital link between our clients and internal departments, ensuring that all processes and outputs align with established quality standards while proactively addressing any concerns. You will collaborate extensively with our Production, Operations, Manufacturing, and Engineering teams to troubleshoot challenges, execute corrective measures, and assist in the launch of new products. We are seeking a professional with a background in manufacturing who possesses robust analytical skills and a deep understanding of industrial or automotive quality frameworks. Core Duties Help maintain a safe working environment for the entire team by strictly adhering to all organizational policies and quality standards. Act as the main point of contact for customer inquiries, managing internal resources to ensure concerns are addressed promptly. Conduct thorough investigations into quality issues reported by clients, including root cause identification and the implementation of permanent corrective actions. Manage immediate containment, sorting, and inspection tasks to mitigate the impact of quality defects on production or customers. Facilitate the launch of new processes and products by overseeing validation activities, documentation, and necessary customer deliverables. Contribute to early-production quality initiatives to help prevent potential defects from reaching the end user. Track customer quality metrics and provide updates through relevant scorecards and communication platforms. Collaborate with Manufacturing and Engineering staff to discover ways to improve equipment, processes, and overall product quality. Promote the use of structured problem-solving methodologies across various departments to ensure consistency. Analyze internal and external quality failures to identify root causes and establish preventative measures. Drive continuous improvement projects that enhance process reliability, efficiency, and waste reduction. Assist the Engineering department with data collection and analysis to validate new tooling, components, and processes. Perform regular process and product audits to ensure adherence to customer requirements and internal quality systems. Evaluate and determine the disposition of materials that do not meet quality specifications. Manage customer-specific quality documentation, including work instructions, control methods, and product planning. Educate production staff on quality expectations and effective problem-solving techniques to improve team performance. Ensure all quality documentation is maintained accurately and in compliance with customer and company standards. Execute additional quality-related tasks and projects as required. Required Skills and Background Proven experience in a technical, engineering, manufacturing, or quality role involving direct customer interaction. Deep familiarity with root-cause methodologies such as 5 Why, 8D, or Six Sigma. Demonstrated capacity to analyze complex data sets and develop effective corrective actions to improve quality outcomes. Solid understanding of quality management standards such as IATF 16949 or
ISO 9001.
Knowledge of standard manufacturing quality tools including PPAP, FMEA, APQP, MSA, Control Plans, and SPC. Comprehensive understanding of assembly and manufacturing workflows, including inspection techniques and process controls. Experience utilizing quality software or statistical analysis tools like Minitab. Proficiency in standard business software and the Microsoft Office suite. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to facilitate effective interaction with internal teams and customers. Ability to balance multiple priorities and customer needs within a high-speed manufacturing setting. Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management capabilities. High level of precision and a detail-oriented mindset. Ability to work autonomously while contributing to the success of cross-functional teams. Proven track record of integrity, accountability, and professional judgment. Experience refining processes to deliver better results for both internal stakeholders and customers. Educational Requirements A Bachelor's degree in a technical field or Engineering is preferred, though an equivalent mix of relevant quality experience and education will be accepted.
