Job Description
About the Role As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will serve as a critical link between manufacturing operations and customer expectations, ensuring excellence through rigorous process oversight. You will drive continuous improvement initiatives and leverage technical expertise to optimize quality systems and product reliability. Responsibilities Lead the implementation of APQP, FMEA, and PPAP processes to ensure seamless product launches and adherence to customer specifications. Act as the primary technical liaison, managing customer concerns and facilitating effective corrective action requests. Oversee the internal and external audit programs, including coordination with third-party certification bodies. Manage metrology lab operations, including the programming and maintenance of CMM equipment. Drive data-driven problem solving using methodologies such as 8D, 5-Why, and Fishbone analysis to resolve quality issues. Maintain and optimize electronic data collection (EDC) systems and global quality management documentation. Facilitate the Layered Audit Program to ensure ongoing process compliance and operational excellence. Mentor and coach quality team members to foster a culture of high performance and technical proficiency. Qualifications Required Skills Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a quality engineering role within a manufacturing environment. Proven expertise in core quality tools including APQP, PPAP, and PFMEA. Demonstrated ability to lead complex root cause analysis and corrective action projects. Preferred Skills Advanced proficiency in metrology and CMM programming. Experience managing quality management systems (QMS) and document control. Strong background in facilitating third-party and customer-facing audits.
