We are seeking a Quality Engineer I to support quality engineering and quality assurance activities in a fast-paced production environment. This individual contributor role will focus on evaluating components, raw materials, and finished products for compliance with established quality standards and specifications. The ideal candidate has strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and suppliers. Key Responsibilities Support scale-up production of new and reformulated products and assist with qualification line trials as needed. Investigate process and product deviations and help identify potential quality issues. Review supplier test data and documentation for compliance with established standards and specifications. Support Quality Assurance lab activities, including supplier first-production submissions and approval processes. Collect, document, and evaluate quality data using basic measuring and inspection tools. Analyze quality data for trends and support corrective action activities. Perform quality control evaluations and inspections of products against established standards and specifications. Support vendors with pre-production and production quality issues and assist senior quality team members with quality programs and process improvement initiatives. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physical Sciences, Natural Sciences, or a related field . Strong critical-thinking and analytical problem-solving skills. Ability to work with urgency and effectively resolve issues in a high-pressure environment. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment. Proficiency with standard computer applications. Ability to travel approximately 10-20% as needed to support Quality Assurance activities. Preferred Qualifications 1-3 years of professional quality experience. Experience with quality planning and quality control processes. Familiarity with statistical techniques and quality data analysis. Project management or process improvement experience. Work Environment This position is onsite in New Albany, Ohio and works closely with Quality Assurance, production, suppliers, and other cross-functional partners.
