Permanent Job type: Full-Time Autoneum is globally leading in acoustic and thermal management for light and commercial vehicles. The Company develops and produces multifunctional, lightweight and sustainable components and systems for interior floor, interior trim as well as engine bay and underbody. Customers include almost all automobile manufacturers in Europe, North & South America, Asia and Africa. The Company with its head-quarters in Winterthur, Switzerland, is listed on the SIX Swiss Ex-change (ticker symbol AUTN). Summary The Reliability Engineer is responsible for ensuring that equipment, systems, or processes operate safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime. They identify potential failures, improve maintenance strategies, and enhance system reliability. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Monitor and analyze equipment performance and reliability. Conduct root cause failure analysis (RCFA) for equipment breakdowns. Develop and implement preventive and predictive reliability tools to monitor asset health, benchmark performance, and extend critical asset life. Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime. Analyze maintenance and operational data to identify trends and recommend improvements. Support maintenance and operations teams in troubleshooting complex equipment issues. Develop reliability reports, KPIs, and performance metrics. Participate in risk assessments such as Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA). Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards. Recommend equipment modifications and process improvements to increase asset life. Participate in all plant wide communications. Assist other Autoneum plants, as necessary. Other duties as assigned.
Education / Experience
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. 3-5+ years of experience in reliability engineering, maintenance engineering, or asset management. Knowledge of reliability-centered maintenance, FMEA, and root cause analysis. Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Language Ability Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, employees and customers. Math Ability Basics math skills are required. Reasoning Ability Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret instructions and deal with abstract and concrete variables. Computer Skills Proficient in MS Office software (inc. PowerPoint, Word, and Excel) Minitab.
