Oregon, Ohio Company Overview Our client is a global automotive manufacturing supplier specializing in innovative, lightweight, and sustainable components and systems for the automotive industry. Position Summary The Reliability Engineer is responsible for ensuring that plant equipment, systems, and processes operate safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime. This position will focus on identifying potential failures, improving maintenance strategies, increasing equipment availability, and extending the life of critical assets. Key Responsibilities Monitor and analyze equipment performance and reliability. Conduct Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) for equipment breakdowns and recurring failures. Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance/reliability tools to monitor asset health, benchmark performance, and extend critical asset life. Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and reduce unplanned downtime. Analyze maintenance and operational data to identify trends and recommend improvements. Support maintenance and operations teams in troubleshooting complex equipment issues. Develop and track reliability reports, KPIs, and performance metrics . Participate in risk assessments, including Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) . Ensure compliance with applicable safety, environmental, and quality standards. Recommend equipment modifications and process improvements to improve reliability and increase asset life. Partner with maintenance, engineering, and operations teams to support continuous improvement initiatives. Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering , or a related technical field. 3-5+ years of experience in reliability engineering, maintenance engineering, asset management, or a related manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM), FMEA, and Root Cause Analysis . Experience working with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) . Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
