SUMMARY The Sr. Quality Engineer will oversee quality assurance processes, implement quality control measures, and drive continuous improvement. This role will develop, implement, and maintain protocols and procedures to ensure products are manufactured and assembled to the highest standards. The ideal candidate will have experience with Six Sigma methodologies, AS9100 standards, and FAA regulatory requirements. A deep understanding of advanced quality tools such as Lean Manufacturing, Statistical Process Control (SPC), and Value Stream Mapping is essential.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develops, implements, and maintains quality assurance protocols and procedures to ensure compliance with AS9100 standards and FAA regulatory requirements.
  • Conducts root cause analysis and implements corrective and preventive actions to address non-conformances and improve product quality.
  • Performs internal audits and supports third party audits (ex. AS9100) to identify opportunities for improvement and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and supply chain, to ensure quality standards are met throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Develops and maintains quality documentation, including inspection plans, control plans, and quality reports.
  • Utilizes advanced quality tools such as Lean Manufacturing, SPC, and Value Stream Mapping to optimize processes and improve efficiency.
  • Provides training and support to team members on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
  • Monitors and analyzes quality performance metrics, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Supports new product development and introduction processes to ensure quality requirements are met from concept to production.
  • Leads and participates in improvement projects and initiatives.
Qualifications
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field required.
  • Minimum of five years' experience in Manufacturing/Assembly Operations, Quality, Engineering, and/or Procurement.
  • Knowledge Six Sigma methodologies preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of AS9100 standards and FAA regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in advanced quality tools such as Lean Manufacturing, SPC, and Value Stream Mapping.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct root cause analysis and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer, Certified Reliability Engineer, and/or Certified Quality Auditor certification preferred.
  • Proficiency in quality management software and tools.
  • Proficiency with reading and interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing statistical methods, including process capability, Gage R&R, probability, and statistical inference.
