Job Description

Build Quality. Drive Improvement. Make an Impact. York Precision Machining & Hydraulics is seeking a Quality Specialist to join our team and play a key role in maintaining and improving our Quality Management System (QMS). Reporting to the Quality Manager , this position offers an opportunity to work at the intersection of manufacturing, engineering, quality, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, technically curious, and comfortable solving problems using data and cross-functional collaboration. What You'll DoQuality Systems & Compliance Prepare and review Certificates of Conformance (CoCs) . Create complete, accurate, and on-time customer data packages. Review material and special process certifications. Review manufacturing travelers and work instructions for customer and regulatory compliance. Maintain quality records in accordance with customer and QMS requirements. Support customer documentation and compliance requests. Participate in internal and external audit activities. Engineering Documentation & Inspection Planning Create and maintain Inspection Data Sheets (IDS) . Create and maintain bubble drawings. Identify customer, drawing, and specification requirements and ensure they are properly flowed down into inspection documentation. Develop inspection plans and verification requirements. Maintain accurate inspection documentation for production and quality teams. Metrology & Calibration Maintain the company's calibration system. Coordinate internal and external calibration activities. Maintain gage inventory and calibration status. Investigate Out-of-Tolerance (OOT) conditions and determine potential product impact. Assess the impact of OOT conditions on product acceptance. Support Measurement System Analysis (MSA) activities. Continuous Improvement Lead continuous improvement projects that improve quality, efficiency, and manufacturing performance. Facilitate Lean and Six Sigma initiatives. Analyze process performance and quality metrics to identify opportunities for improvement. Conduct root-cause investigations. Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions. Track, measure, and report improvement project results. Quality Engineering Support Support process capability studies. Analyze quality trends and manufacturing performance data. Support the development and improvement of inspection methods. Assist with improvements to First Piece and Final Acceptance processes. Support supplier quality improvement activities. Assist with implementation and ongoing improvement of the Quality Management System. Reporting & Metrics Develop and maintain quality performance metrics and KPIs. Prepare reports covering calibration, compliance, quality performance, and improvement activities. Present project status, findings, and results to leadership. Monitor quality objectives and key performance indicators to help drive continuous improvement. Shipping & Receiving Quality Develop and maintain shipping and receiving work instructions. Develop packaging requirements based on the needs of the ultimate consignee. Ensure documentation, labels, and associated paperwork are complete and ready for issue . Perform final reviews of completed packaging prior to shipment. Pay:
$65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
