Duties/Responsibilities:
Work actively with the Project Manager providing support to Customers in what regards to quality expertise for product and process development. Support and participate in the development of the
APQP/PPAP
documentation for new product launches. Analyze engineering drawings/blueprints and GD&T and define the DVP testing plan to be validated by the customer. Support product validation activities and coordinate testing as required. Review dimensional results and CMM reports to ensure compliance with drawing requirements. Review and interpret applicable customer/OEM specifications and quality requirements. Work with engineering and all the other departments to develop the Control Plan and work instructions for a new part Define the Gauge R&R accuracy and support measurement system requirements. Quality improvement activities including inspecting, measuring, reporting, scrap follow up and problem solving Lead the PFMEA and coordinate the improvements on the design/process to eliminate the high-risk areas prior to SOP Support PPAP submissions and ensure applicable supplier
PPAP/PSW
approvals are obtained. Participate in the quoting process when is required Other duties as assigned
Education and Experience :
3+ years in manufacturing environment Experience in Engineering, Quality, Product Development or Process Assurance. Working knowledge of automotive Core Tools including APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plan, MSA and SPC. Working knowledge of engineering drawings, GD&T and dimensional inspection. Audit experience/certification in
IATF/VDA/CQI
Skills :
The job requires attention to detail in making evaluative judgements based on the analysis of information. Competent with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.) Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills Self-motivated and team-oriented Friendly and able to ask questions in a non-confrontational manner Demonstrate a positive and professional demeanor throughout Quality Assurance and all departments Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and customer requirements. This is an ONSITE role, remote work is not available.
