Job Description
Job description: KP Components is hiring a Quality Engineer (QE) in SC to drive Continuous Improvement, performs audits, and ensure performance to customer standards. This position will be focused on the needs of the customer. The QE will investigate external customer complaints and complete corrective actions and process improvements. Works with technical staff to support new product development and continual improvement. Works with production, engineering, and management to create and maintain a quality culture, including establishing quality metrics as needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate and facilitate root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) processes. This position requires a strong background in reviewing Non-Conformance Reviews (NCRs) to established metrics
- Participate in and facilitate corrective actions
- Provide material review dispositions for non-conformances
- Sort parts, or coordinate the sorting of parts, at the facility or at the customer's facility.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS & RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs analysis and process audits to ensure manufacturing. Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions. Problem solving both for both internal issues and external complaints Can interpret multiple prints to establish solutions. Can work with the customer to better understand their expectations Ability to stand, stoop, bend, sit, reach, and lift up to 50lbs.QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Job Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or Systems Engineering-or a related technical field with 2+ years of experience in a quality or manufacturing environment (internships and co-ops included). OR Associate degree in Mechatronics, Engineering Systems, Engineering Science, or a related discipline with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a quality or manufacturing environment. Exceptional attention to detail and a methodical approach to work. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and documentation processes efficiently. Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and comfortable working with computers and digital file systems. Familiarity with 5S principles and a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to follow detailed procedures and work instructions with precision. Comfortable asking questions and seeking clarification when needed. Familiarity withISO 9001
standards or working in a certified environment is preferred. 1+ year of experience presenting technical briefings to various audiences 1+ year of experience in a manufacturing or manufacturing support environment 1+ year of experience creating Root Cause Corrective Actions 1+ year of experience working with Non-Conformance (NCR) processes Experience withIATF 16949 QMS
