Job Description
Truform Manufacturing LLC is located in Dickson Tennessee approximately 40 minutes to the West of Nashville Tennessee and is a TS16949 / ISO9001 and future
ISO14001
supplier to the automotive and appliance industries. Truform Manufacturing incorporates metal stamping, robotic MIG welding and automated high speed assembly operations in its modern, ultra clean facilities. The recent addition of brand-new Amada CNC Press Brakes, Fiber Lasers and CNC Turret press capability has greatly expanded Truform's ability to produce superior parts in a "just in time" environment. Truform Manufacturing is looking for a Quality Engineer to join our team! (Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred but not required). This position works within the quality department at Truform. The primary job tasks will include continuous improvement based on product quality.Qualifications:
- 3-years' experience as a quality engineer in an automotive manufacturing environment
- Understanding of
TS16949, ISO9001, 8D, 3
Phase/5 Why and other quality core tools- Ability to measure product with hand gauges and understand product drawing requirements
- Ability to work within a team environment
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Black Belt or equivalent problem-solving experience
- Associate degree or equivalent (preferred, but not required)
- Bilingual Spanish - Written and Verbal (preferred, but not required)
- Excellent attitude
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Complete all work adhering to
IATF16949
standards- Initiates and completes 8D report including a lead role in root cause analysis
- Customer liaison for quality related issues
- Scheduled customer visits with willingness to travel up to 10% of time
- Conduct internal continuous improvements projects based on product quality
- Coordinates engineering changes ensuring documents and the quality system are updated
- Works within engineering and quality departments to ensure timely completion of new launches
- Assist Team with developing product process flow charts, control plans, and FMEAs as required
- Coordinates part layouts
- Works within all areas of Truform with the ability to effectively communicate ideas, problems and solutions to all employees
- Establishes a working knowledge of the Truform Quality System
- Must maintain a valid driver's license and passport
- Other job duties as assigned Physical demands and work environment: Must be able to sit for long periods of time Must be able to work at a computer for long periods of time Must be able to squat, bend, twist and move to inspect tooling, equipment and parts Must have fine motor skills to grasp and manipulate small parts Must be able to lift 50 pounds Must be able to work in a factory setting that is not climate controlled, as the project demands Must be able to visually inspect parts with or without corrective lenses
