Bachelor's degree level of knowledge in a related discipline (Manufacturing Engineering preferred), with minimum of 4 years in direct quality assurance experience preferred. Knowledge of manufacturing operations within an automotive or automotive related industry, with demonstrable professional skills in organizing, analyzing problems, improvement planning and communications. A good knowledge of metal fabrication, machining and forming manufacturing operations is preferred. The bachelor degree requirements may be waived in lieu of additional direct quality experience of 3 years (4+3 = 7 years) or the degree can be waived for an ASQ (QE certificate) and 6 years direct quality experience.
JOB RESPONSIBLITIES
Assists in the development of standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation. Devises sampling procedures and designs and develops forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data. Supports establishment of programs to evaluate precision and accuracy of production equipment and testing, measurement, and analytical equipment and facilities. Assists workers engaged in measuring and testing product and tabulating data concerning materials, product, or process quality and reliability. Compiles and writes training material and may conduct training sessions on quality control activities. May specialize in areas of quality control engineering, such as design, incoming material, process control, product evaluation, product reliability, inventory control, metrology, automated testing, software, research and development, and administrative application. May develop and implement methods and procedures for disposition of discrepant material and devises methods to assess cost and responsibility. Provides technical assistance in the areas of: problem solving, inspection, and methods, quality planning and the implementation of control plans, flow diagrams, process control checks and inspection procedures (Member of the Advanced Quality Planning Team with responsibilities for Plant Quality duties). Supports efforts to comply with applicable laws, regulations, and product quality issued by OSHA, EPA, and other federal, state, and local regulatory agencies. Must actively support our Health, Safety and Environmental Policies, immediately report all dangerous situations and correct them when able to do so safely, participate in all required Safety Training, meetings, inspections and use all required PPE Please submit current resume and cover letter with salary requirements.
