Job Description

About the Role We are seeking a Mechanical Reliability Engineer to support daily maintenance activities and drive improvements in equipment reliability. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in mechanical engineering to troubleshoot equipment failures, develop long-term strategies for defect elimination, and enhance overall operational efficiency. Your contributions will directly impact the safety, quality, and cost-effectiveness of our production area. Responsibilities Provide mechanical engineering support to maintenance and operations teams, addressing equipment failures and recommending effective repairs and upgrades. Analyze inspection reports to assess equipment fitness for service, evaluate inspection quality, and determine appropriate inspection intervals. Lead root cause failure analysis teams, facilitate problem-solving sessions, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Develop and implement Mechanical Integrity/Quality Assurance, reliability, and PPM programs to enhance unit performance and longevity. Prepare scopes of work, estimates, schedules, and equipment specifications for reliability-driven improvements and equipment replacements. Participate in process hazards analyses and contribute to the scope development of capital projects. Network with reliability engineers and technicians to support continuous improvement initiatives across the site. Qualifications Required Skills BS in Mechanical, Materials, or Industrial Engineering. Minimum of 1 year of Engineering experience. Familiarity with ASME Code and API Standards. Understanding of machine shop operations and fabrication techniques. Preferred Skills Knowledge of SAP or similar Maintenance Management experience. Understanding of PSM systems and high hazard processes. Ability to manage work and undertake multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence leadership, peers, and mechanics. Preferred Certifications include
API 510, API 570, API 653, NBIC, NDE
level II for visual, UT, PT, vibration, CWI.
