Job Description

Ready to own asset reliability in a high-impact chemical operation? Chemours' Titanium Technologies site in New Johnsonville, TN manufactures TiO2 pigment and slurry that enable cleaner energy, advanced electronics, AI, climate-friendly cooling, and long-lasting coatings. Our operating units are designated as highly hazardous processes—your expertise directly protects people, assets, and uptime. What you'll do Be the I&E reliability point person for one of three operating areas. Triage and resolve instrument/electrical issues, recommend repairs and upgrades, and prevent recurrence. Serve as an area
SME:
write/review maintenance procedures and support technician/operator training. Initiate and approve I&E-related MOC to improve safety, quality, environmental performance, and cost. Design and roll out MI/QA, reliability, and preventive/predictive maintenance (PPM) programs. Provide technical coverage for I&E up to 480
V:
Instruments (level, flow, pressure) and control valves—function, operation, reliability. Process and ambient analyzers—operation/reliability support. 120 VAC to 480 V power, wiring, power panels, and heat trace. Motors, MCC/starters, and VFDs—up to 480 V. Burner systems—operation/reliability support. Support capital projects and MOC for I&E scope; act as approver for area MOC with I&E scope. Participate in PHA and help define capital project scope. Lead RCFA teams, kaizen events, and structured problem-solving. Develop/audit scopes of work, estimates, schedules, and equipment specifications. Continuously optimize PM tasks, methods, and frequencies. Evaluate vendor solutions for function, cost, and schedule impact. Network with site reliability engineers/technicians to drive cross-area improvements. Support off-shift/weekend needs for start-ups, tests, turnarounds, and other non-routine work. What you bring BS in Electrical Engineering or closely related discipline. 3+ years in industrial/manufacturing or Military Equivalent Experience (co-op/intern counts). Hands-on knowledge in 2+ of: instruments (level/flow/pressure), analyzers, basic electric 120 VAC-480 V, wiring, power panels, heat trace, motors, starters, VFDs, control valves. Strong initiative, safety focus, and urgency to deliver. Data-driven troubleshooting and decision-making. Ability to manage emergencies, short deadlines, and multiple priorities. Comfort working independently and collaboratively; clear technical communicator. Influential interpersonal style; engages operators and technicians directly to drive change. Proficient with Microsoft Office or similar business software. Excellent written and verbal communication. Ability to wear PPE including steel toes, hard hat, eye protection, and respirators. Preferred Operations-facing troubleshooting experience. RCFA depth. PSM experience. PFD analysis for Safety Interlock systems. LOPA experience. NEC/ISA familiarity. Knowledge of industry codes and engineered best practices. PLC systems experience. Power systems analysis. SIS knowledge and maintenance program exposure. SAP familiarity.
