Job Description

Own the reliability journey Imagine stepping into an operating area at the New Johnsonville Plant in New Johnsonville, TN , where your decisions directly improve uptime, safety, and sustainability. As a Rotating Equipment & Mechanical Integrity Specialist reporting to the Asset & Reliability Manager , you'll champion root-cause thinking, eliminate chronic defects, and architect strategies that boost performance today and for years to come. Your mission Be the go-to mechanical authority for maintenance and operations—troubleshoot issues, assess failures, and recommend durable fixes and targeted upgrades. Rebuild preventive maintenance from the ground up—optimize scope and cadence to meet reliability, cost, and Mechanical Integrity objectives. Grow deep expertise on area equipment and convert it into clear maintenance procedures and training content. Advance improvements through MOC —from safety and quality to environmental and cost outcomes. Develop RFPs and design data for reliability-based enhancements and asset retirement replacements. Analyze inspection findings for fitness-for-service, interval selection, and inspection quality. Stand up MI/QA, reliability, and PPM programs that prevent recurrence and raise performance. Participate in PHAs and shape the scope of capital projects. Lead RCFA teams, kaizen events, and structured problem-solving to remove root causes. Define and audit scopes of work, build estimates and schedules, and set specification requirements. Evaluate vendor proposals—balancing functionality, timing, and total cost. Tap into the reliability network across the site to amplify wins and accelerate adoption. What you bring BS in Mechanical, Materials, or Industrial Engineering 1+ year of engineering experience Knowledge of corporate standards Familiarity with
RAGEGAP, ASME
Code, and API Standards Understanding of machine shop operations and fabrication techniques Working knowledge of Microsoft Office What helps you stand out Maintenance management experience with SAP or similar CMMS Knowledge of PSM systems and high-hazard processes Proven ability to run long-term programs while handling short-term plant needs Strong communicator who influences leaders, peers, and crafts Hands-on with operators and mechanics to push change and deliver results Skilled at organizing multiple priorities simultaneously Able to wear a full-face respirator; comfortable working in permitted confined spaces Physically able to climb, crawl, and bend Willing to travel and work overtime when necessary Preferred certifications:
API 510, API 570, API 653, NBIC, NDE
