Job Overview Quality Engineer is responsible for quality assurance analysis of new and existing programs at all manufacturing stages to ensure the quality of their production meets engineering drawings and specifications. Support the company goals of Zero Defects and 100% On-Time Delivery within an TS16949 certified quality management system. Ensure good communication between company and its customers, including periodic trips to customer location. Responsibilities Create Quality Alerts, and communicate to all applicable personnel, training as needed Create, lead, and aid in investigation of Corrective Action Reports (8d's) Assist in control plan creation, updating FMEA updating and periodic review of ratings Assist in PPAP documentation, with close communication with customer Customer communication, specifically complaints or other concerns, with visits to customer locations when needed Perform and analyze capability studies Complete Layouts and testing on parts for PPAP, Problem Solving, etc. Establish, monitor and follow-up on required product testing as required by customer, internal, and benchmarking requirements, to assure product/design intent, function, and integrity. Ongoing testing of parts (Functional, Dimensional, Physical properties, etc.) Participate in cross functional teams in the pursuit of problem solving and mistake proofing quality problems. Assist with preparation and participation for customer surveys resulting in desired approvals Develop visual standard system criteria for use in manufacturing operations Responsible for following all internal and OSHA required safety procedures Communicate production and quality issues/concerns with associates and supervision whenever necessary. Maintain high standards of housekeeping in respective areas. Track and report quality metrics; analyze quality data to evaluate the effectiveness of current processes or proposed changes. Education Bachelor's degree in one of the following: Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Chemical, or related field) Quality Management Engineering Technology Equivalent combination of education and manufacturing experience may be accepted Experience 2-5 years of experience in manufacturing, quality assurance, or quality engineering preferred. Automotive manufacturing experience is highly desirable, especially in

Pay:
$85,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
