Quality Engineer - Arcosa Wind Towers Solve Problems. Drive Improvement. Protect the Customer. Arcosa Wind Towers is seeking a Quality Engineer who thrives on solving complex manufacturing challenges and driving sustainable improvements. While this role will include hands-on involvement with inspections or reacting to defects, additionally we are looking for a strategic problem solver who can identify root causes, implement robust corrective actions, and improve processes that strengthen customer confidence. What You'll Do Lead root cause investigations using structured problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, Lean, and Six Sigma tools. Coach team members and inspectors on these methodologies to help support a culture of first-time quality. Assist in the design and improvement of quality control systems and processes; help strengthen policies and procedures, auditing practices and manufacturing standards across multiple plants (up to 50% travel to plants in NM, IA, and OK). Develop and implement effective containment, corrective, and preventive actions to eliminate recurring quality issues. Analyze quality performance data and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Partner with Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to improve process capability and product quality. Drive cross-functional improvement initiatives that reduce defects and improve customer satisfaction. Support customer quality concerns and communicate findings, corrective actions, and progress updates. Support Supplier Quality Team with the evaluation and/or qualification of new suppliers and materials. What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, quality, or a related technical field. 8-10 years of experience in quality engineering, manufacturing engineering, or continuous improvement within a manufacturing environment. Strong experience with root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement methodologies. Working knowledge of quality tools such as 8D, 5 Why, SPC, FMEA, Lean, and Six Sigma. Strong analytical, communication, and project leadership skills. Ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive sustainable results. Preferred Qualifications Experience in heavy manufacturing, fabrication, welding, coatings, steel structures, or related industries.
