Job Description

Job Summary:
GALA Exports & Transports, LLC is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Freight Documentation Specialist to support daily logistics and transportation operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and processing shipping and freight documentation for domestic and international shipments while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely communication with carriers, customers, and internal teams. The company specializes in freight transportation, export/import coordination, and logistics support services.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and manage bills of lading, shipping manifests, invoices, customs forms, and freight documentation Verify shipment details, carrier information, and transportation records for accuracy Coordinate with dispatchers, warehouse personnel, carriers, and customers regarding shipment documentation Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for transportation records Track shipment statuses and update customers regarding delivery schedules Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and company procedures Assist with import/export paperwork and customs-related documentation Resolve documentation discrepancies and communicate issues promptly Support logistics operations with data entry and reporting tasks Maintain confidentiality and accuracy in all freight-related records
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required Previous experience in logistics, transportation, freight forwarding, or shipping documentation preferred Knowledge of freight terminology, bills of lading, and shipping procedures Strong computer and data entry skills Experience with Microsoft Office and logistics management systems Excellent organizational and communication abilities Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus
Pay:
$22.50 - $26.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
