DOE Required:
Bilingual We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join a leading manufacturing company in the Garland, TX area. This position will play a key role in supporting Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), PPAP activities, quality systems development, and continuous improvement initiatives across the facility. The successful candidate will work closely with production, engineering, suppliers, and customers to ensure products meet all quality requirements while supporting new product launches, tooling transfers, process validation, and corrective action activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead APQP and PPAP activities for new product launches and transferred tooling programs. Develop and maintain Process FMEAs, control plans, inspection documentation, and quality standards. Coordinate customer and internal sample submission activities, ensuring compliance with all requirements. Manage product drawings, engineering changes, revisions, and quality documentation. Support capability studies, Gage R&R studies, dimensional layouts, laboratory testing, and product validation activities. Lead corrective action investigations and problem-solving initiatives to improve product quality and reduce defects. Support supplier quality activities and verify compliance documentation for purchased components. Assist with calibration systems and measurement equipment management. Manage annual customer revalidation requirements and support customer audits and visits. Analyze quality performance data including scrap, PPM, customer complaints, and internal non-conformances to identify improvement opportunities. Collaborate with manufacturing and quality teams to drive continuous improvement and quality system effectiveness.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
Associate Degree or equivalent combination of education and quality engineering experience preferred. Minimum 2+ years of Quality Engineering experience within a manufacturing environment. Experience with APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, Gage R&R, and capability studies. Strong understanding of quality systems, process validation, and corrective action methodologies. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and statistical analysis skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office and quality reporting systems. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across all levels of the organization.
