Job Description

About the Company Bestop Family of Brands is the global leader in premium vehicle accessories for Jeep, Bronco, and the off-road community. With over 70 years of innovation and craftsmanship, we've built a reputation for quality and a culture rooted in high performance, accountability, and strong teamwork. About the Role We're hiring a Quality Coordinator to join our Quality Assurance team at our San Antonio, TX facility, reporting to the Director of Quality. This is a hands-on, individual-contributor role for someone who wants to own the connective tissue between our aftermarket customer feedback, our OE customer relationships, and our
IATF 16949
quality management system. You'll collect and analyze Aftermarket warranty and customer concern data to drive corrective action and continuous improvement, monitor our OE customer portals for ratings, warranty trends, and changing requirements, and support both internal and external
IATF 16949
audits. You'll also serve as backup for our Supplier Quality/Receiving Inspection function, so you'll build real depth across our quality systems rather than staying in one lane. What You'll Do
  • Collect, analyze, and report on Aftermarket warranty and customer concern data to drive corrective action (CA) and continuous improvement (CI) efforts, including specific Green Belt projects.
  • Gather Aftermarket customer concern data from sales, marketing, customer service, receiving inspection, surveys, and public forums to feed manufacturing, quality, and engineering CI efforts.
  • Monitor OE customer portals for quality and delivery ratings, quality issues, warranty trends, and changes to customer requirements.
  • Support internal and external
IATF 16949
audits, and update or initiate processes and procedures as needed to maintain compliance.
  • Visit supplier and/or customer locations as needed to address quality issues or other quality needs (approximately 25% travel).
  • Update, monitor, and report on regulatory requirements, working with our third-party partner Source Intelligence and with customers directly.
  • Act as backup for the Supplier Quality/Receiving Inspection (SQA) position as needed, including working knowledge of the Cadence System, LX, Inspection Process, Truck Sheets, and directing work through the Receiving Inspection Lead. What You'll Need
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a quality role.
  • Working knowledge of quality requirements including PFMEAs, control plans, capability studies, GR&R, and related documentation.
  • Experience working directly with OE automotive customers, suppliers, and auditors.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Windows.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, including basic GD&T.
  • Comfort using measuring devices such as rulers, calipers, micrometers, and scales.
  • Strong initiative, self-motivation, and analytical judgment; comfort making quick, sound decisions under pressure.
  • Strong communication and relationship skills with auditors, suppliers, and internal and external customers.
  • Authorized to work in the United States now and in the future without employer sponsorship. Bonus Points
  • Prior experience in an IATF 16949-certified automotive or automotive-aftermarket environment.
  • Experience with OE supplier portals and OE scorecard performance metrics.
  • Six Sigma / Green Belt project experience.
  • Experience with Source Intelligence or similar regulatory reporting platforms. Work Environment
  • Primarily an office environment with some time in the warehouse; approximately 25% travel to supplier and/or customer locations.
  • Frequent standing, walking, lifting, bending, and turning; ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
  • Required to use and wear personal protective equipment as needed, and to follow established safety rules and procedures. Perks & Benefits
