Job Description

RB Royal, a family-owned and operated manufacturing company based in Fond du Lac, WI, is currently seeking a Quality Engineer to join our team. As a premium manufacturer of fluid transfer systems, RB Royal specializes in custom-engineered coils, tubing, and hoses designed to move water, air, oil, and fuel. Our solutions support a wide range of industries, including marine, automotive, construction, motorsports, agriculture, food processing, medical, and power generation. SUMMARY The Quality Engineer supports product and process quality by working with Quality, Operations, and Engineering to identify, investigate, and resolve manufacturing quality issues. This position provides hands-on Quality support on the manufacturing floor, assists with quality planning and problem-solving activities, and helps ensure products meet customer, company, and regulatory requirements.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Manufacturing & Quality Support Maintain an active presence on the manufacturing floor and provide day-to-day Quality support. Assist with investigation and resolution of production quality concerns. Support inspection and measurement activities, including interpretation of drawings, specifications, tolerances, and inspection results. Assist with containment activities including product identification, inspection/sorting, product holds, and documentation. Work with Operations and Engineering to identify and resolve product and process quality issues. Continuous Improvement Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action activities. Utilize problem-solving tools including 5 Why, fishbone, and other applicable methods. Assist with analysis of defects, scrap, rework, nonconformances, and other Quality data. Participate in continuous improvement activities focused on product quality and process consistency. Follow corrective actions through implementation and assist with effectiveness verification. Quality Planning & Documentation Assist with development and maintenance of Control Plans, FMEAs, inspection plans, inspection sheets, and other Quality documentation. Support APQP and
PPAP/PAP
activities. Participate in new product trials, pilot builds, First Article Inspections, and process changes. Assist with capability studies, SPC, MSA, and Gage R&R activities. Ensure Quality records and documentation are accurate and complete. Quality Systems Support ISO 9001 and applicable customer-specific requirements. Participate in internal audits and corrective actions. Support calibration and gauge management activities. Assist with customer complaints, nonconformances, and corrective action documentation. Follow company Quality procedures, safety requirements, policies, and Core Values. Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
SKILLS CRITICAL FOR SUCCESS
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred; equivalent technical education and relevant manufacturing experience may be considered. 0-3 years of Quality Engineering or manufacturing quality experience. Basic understanding of engineering drawings, specifications, tolerances, and measurement methods. Familiarity with quality tools such as FMEA, Control Plans, root cause analysis, SPC, MSA, and PPAP preferred. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Strong mechanical and manufacturing aptitude. Willingness and ability to work directly on the manufacturing floor. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively with Quality, Operations, and Engineering personnel. Proficiency with Microsoft Office; ERP/MES experience preferred. Understanding of metalworking or manufacturing processes preferred.
Pay:
$60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
