Kapco is looking for a Quality Engineer to join our Grafton, WI team. The Quality Engineer is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with manufacturing and production internal customers to address inspection needs. Communicate results and solutions in an effective and efficient manner for inspection projects and provide overall support in the quality lab including inspections, analysis, testing, documentation and recordkeeping.

Primary Responsibilities:

lnvolved in Product Development

Participates in Advanced Product Quality Planning

Prepares Product Part Approval Process documentation to the customers' requirements for new product submissions

Interprets customer GD&T print requirements

Communicates with suppliers or customers on quality and print related issues

Prepares and directs the Control Plan document system

May perform Quality lnspector's duties and responsibilities

Evaluates parts or processes and reports any non-conformances

Utilizes the system for control of Non-conforming materials and processes and Corrective and Preventive Action

Investigates and documents 8D formatted corrective actions

Promotes and participates on continuous improvement teams, as needed

Other projects and duties as assigned

Qualifications:

2-3 years of experience in quality engineering and related disciplines including implementing and applying quality tools (APQP, FMEA, Control Plans, MSA, PPAP, SPC, GD&T) and problem-solving techniques (8D, 5-Why, etc.) in a manufacturing environment.

Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering preferred.

ASQ CQE or CQA desirable

Auditor experience (ISO 9000 and

TS 16949

)

Structured problem-solving experience (Six Sigma Green Belt or Shainin Red "X" Journeyman) desired.
