near Madison, WI Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to oversee and continuously improve the quality processes within a manufacturing environment. This position will be responsible for maintaining a strong quality management system, ensuring products meet customer and company standards, and leading initiatives that improve consistency, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate is a hands-on quality professional who can work closely with customers, production teams, and leadership while also being comfortable reviewing technical documentation, conducting inspections, and addressing quality issues on the manufacturing floor. Key Responsibilities Follow all company safety policies and promote safe work practices throughout the facility. Build strong working relationships across departments and contribute to a respectful, team-oriented workplace. Manage, maintain, and continuously improve the company's documented quality management system in accordance with
ISO 9001
2015 standards. Serve as a primary quality contact for customers and respond professionally to quality-related questions, concerns, and requirements. Lead quality planning activities for new products, including APQP , as well as changes to existing products and processes. Prepare and maintain PPAP and First Article Inspection (FAI/FAIR) documentation based on customer specifications. Review product and process requirements to identify critical characteristics and establish appropriate controls. Develop and implement error-proofing/mistake-proofing methods to reduce defects and improve process reliability. Lead root-cause investigations and corrective action activities using structured 8D problem-solving methods. Maintain the company's measurement equipment and gauge calibration program to ensure inspection tools remain accurate and properly documented. Conduct first-piece, in-process, receiving, and final product inspections as required. Perform quality audits of completed products and manufacturing processes. Conduct internal audits to verify compliance with established quality procedures and ISO requirements. Train and assist employees in the proper use of measuring equipment, inspection tools, and quality system procedures. Identify opportunities for process improvement and lead continuous improvement projects from implementation through completion. Provide leadership, coaching, and development to quality team members and direct reports. Work closely with production and other departments to identify problems, implement solutions, and prevent recurring quality issues. Maintain accurate quality records, documentation, and reporting. Perform other duties and projects as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred, but not required . 5+ years of quality management experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong ability to interpret and understand customer specifications, engineering drawings, and blueprints . Experience working with precision measurement equipment and inspection tools . Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities. Knowledge of quality management systems and
ISO 9001
2015 principles. Experience with APQP, PPAP, FAI/FAIR, corrective action, and internal auditing preferred. Ability to communicate effectively with customers, production employees, management, and other departments. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. AP Pay:
$77,920.83 - $103,227.23 per year
